We spend some downtime. Rolf checks in on the crew and converses with Captain Beastbane about our respective adventures– reassuring how happy they are with being a crew (4 individuals scared of leaving so far from home into space. Double and triple check, and give them time to process). Tim writes a letter to his dad with help from Kuda (whose dick he then sucks) and researches his Patron with help from Rolf and Kuda. Kuda finishes his armor. Ghaisek is debaucherous; sees a half orc and a drag queen at some new manacles; finds Scorpio (see past session) and a new victim (calls himself Hole) to manacle and enjoy. The Hole’s rune tattoos glow and he experiences some goood shit– out of this world orgasm (vision of Ghaisek and Scorpio were different). Gives a stone (Patron) to Scorpio then sends him away to ask The Hole about the trick. Wild magic; asks him to come with us to the stars during aftercare but is refused. Gaemon goes to the bar: meets Adonicus Willingham (speaks like a royal), a Hippo-man called a Gith who speaks of his ancestors’ travels through the Wildspace. Talks about finding portals. Mention space guppies and space sharks and space whales. Wandering clans, including a living ship of beholders, giant nautiloids with Mind Flayers. Space clowns and Astral Elves. Preston helps Kuda apply Magic eye barnacles to the bottom of the ship- this’ll take about ten days with 8 casters to set up the matrix.

– We start our travel to fuck up the Kraken Society. Gaemon sees SOMETHING glowing on the horizon. Ghaisek in the cabins, but nobody else sees it. Preston tastes/smells something OFF in the air–decay. Timothy in the water- undead sharks in the water. Kuda sees a hole where the stars don’t align right. Rolf notices a few days in some crew members acting oddly- at odd with previous conversations– Just standing staring for a few minutes (up to 40) in the direction we’re going, 5 of them especially. Rolf counters with Countercharms on his new drums.

We go to Verbig’s before confronting Grotheir. Kuda puts some ice around and rides Verbig (for a discount!). Rolf distracts Timothy by having him suck his dick so he doesn’t steal from Verbig. When they cum the ice explodes into snow around the room. Verbiage comes back with Rod of Pactkeeper for Ghaisek and Prayer beads for Kuda, in addition to a fancy tattooing needle with inks that allow for adding charges to tattooed spells! Tells us his old assistant was too much of a prude. Rolf gets a +2 Rhythm Maker’s drum, gives his Brazen Bulwark shield to Gaemon, who in exchange pays for Rolf’s new Shield of the Order of the Silver Dragon. Preston trades in his wand for a Bloodwell vial and purchases a Cape of the Mountebank, which has a slot for his astral shard. Timothy gets an amulet of health. Gaemon bought ropes of entanglement. Rolf buys health potion and a case of wine. Timothy buys gaseous form potions. Kuda buys rockie talkies. Suddenly– Grothier storms in… “SWIFTCLAW you abandoned your pack, you must pay the price” and the whole crew is ready to throw down. Rolf tries to say “outside” but gaemon throws a rope of entanglement, which works! He tries to escape but is trapped in an ice sheath and we discuss who he is and how Rolf ran from the pack. Timothy totally understands why Rolf ran and blames Beastbane. Kuda tries to be nice and asks for more explanation. Beastbane says few are remaining and Rolf starts to stand up for himself, then falters and Timothy jumps in to defend him. Kuda says Rolf has a new pack and offers our help to stop the plague, but Beastbane reiterates– it’s just him and Rolf left. Kuda uses his new beads–Greater Restoration on the Captain. Rolf claims his name: Arolfus Swiftclaw. Owns up to fleeing, but says he is not that pup anymore, and if there is no pack there is nothing left to punish. Verbig helps and casts calm emotions, aiding Rolf’s persuasion. “We will help who we can. Will you help us help them?” He bemoans his loneliness and says he will help, and Rolf accepts. We sniff butts. In response to Rolf’s confidence, Kuda gets on a knee and asks Rolf to collar him with the prayer beads, and Rolf accepts, where they’ll keep each other safe, and Rolf mends a moonstone to the prayer beads necklace in promise, which morphs the necklace into a sleeker design.

Having just woken up from a drunken stupor arriving at port, Gaemon recalls what he can of the current happenings

While in port, the crew found a ship of individuals all infected with a terrible illness
Thick liquid running down their face, we discerned this to be the spotted plague
I followed with Kuda as he went to attend the crew, to see what relief we could provide
Kuda would not let me kill them, but we did find we could cure their disease
Kuda seemed pissed as I cleansed these peoples, must be because of how awesome I am

Seeing these people suffer, Rolf was brought visions of his past, but he was not keen to share so quickly

Ghaisek wandered off, always keeping an eye on that one…
Kuda and Rolf followed shortly after, going to speak to the dockmaster it seemed

Then they all got naked… In the middle of the day and the dock
Hott but odd
I decided to wander over and see what was happening, Kuda said he wished to have no hiding, and “bring the truth”
So naturally I cast zone of truth
What a great day, I get to be useful, naked, and possibly expose this likely evil Warlock we have been traveling with
Ghaisek spoke of his deeds in truth and while some questionable choices here and there, overall his goals and mind still aligns with our quest

We awake on the ship and have scenes: Ghaisek has a dream: 10 tentacles, and large suction bruises on torso. When he awakes, he meditates, and hears a voice “Redeem my people”. Goes to Kuda for help. Kuda looks in his book– (Skarkafel?) a Chosen of Umberlee was a Kraken Wizard, which led to the Kraken Society (at war with Hecaton- Giants’ king). They dither then ask the guy we recruited for more information (kuda sucks him off for more info): 10 years ago the KrakSoc had upheaval– trying to find strange materials and focus on Sea of Fallen Stars (opposed to Trackless Sea)— SECRET– Timothy is from the Ruathym, south of the Purple Rocks islands!! Timothy pulls Ghaisek to the side and tells him about how he’s got a Warlock Patron; Ghaisek shares a mental memory of the voice. Out of Body Experience for the two of them– ghostly tentacles spout out of his back and touch where his earring used to be. The voice sounds familiar to Timothy. He still doesn’t respond when Timothy asks. The feeling ends, and a black tentacle earring is in his ear now. Timothy hesitates then spills his historical beans to Kuda in private– the patron, the earring, and the pseudo-betrayal. Kuda, of course, forgives him, and Timothy cries. They make a plan to tell Rolf what’s up. Rolf has a conversation with a bird. Timothy and Kuda come back and Rolf is stalled– he decided to punch him, then wrap him in a big hug and kiss while whispering “that must’ve been really scary”. All is forgiven! What’s the next step. Rolf requests we don’t pray to any extra dieties… and no more secrets… that’ll fuck up the crew! Of course Ghaisek sneaks by once again. Later, Kuda studies his astrolabe- the new constellations go dark, then calm, then sees a constellation of himself as stars “you have found balance” “where do i go from here” “wherever you wish”— can now control the Red Astrolabe at will. A promise of a transformation before fading. As we return, theres a very large old ship and a lot of commotion. They’re in our parking spot. Underside seems messed up bad, by nature. Timothy comes back and Ghaisek sends Caliban– men women and children look malnourished. Referenced as Refugees. Rolf runs to help, and the rest follow. We notice a smaller ship rigging the larger ship to pull it away. Food and water for refugees (kuda goes there), carry objects, and rigging the ship. Rolf chooses heavy stuff- food is spoiled, and Rolf pauses (MEMORY). Sees emblem of Lioncauster mercantile, and carries the nailed container down the gangplank. Property of Baron Aldorn Thuregar. Timothy goes to help with the ship rigging– suggest burning the ship down, then investigates the ship further. Harbormaster is approached by Ghaisek– the ship was floating out at sea yesterday. Ship seems to have come from Sespech– on their way to Empilner– illness through crew and something fucked up the sail. Tells crew mentally what’s up. Kuda goes to the waterline to Shape Water to push the ship away. Preston goes to Captain’s quarters to look for stuff– smells rotting flesh and sees corpse on the bed– captain likely got sick. Preston levitates the corpse and balloons it to get a proper burial. Dockmaster denies the body to leave the ship. Preston goes in reverse and tucks him into bed. Once done, Kuda pushes the ship with Control Water, Preston uses the Staff of the 4 Winds, Ghaisek uses Fireball, and Timothy commands the rope be cut, while Rolf bardically inspires the crew to improve the plan. The ship is successfully destroyed away from the dock. We start to leave…Timothy asks and they were out for at least 3 tendays. They have lesions. Roughly 35 people, some common some noble. Rolf commands some uppity nobles to sit with his Thaumaturgy voice. Preston, Kuda, and Timothy see a micro-response from them besides their fear and Timothy tells Ghaisek to detects thoughts– surface: surprise at seeing Rolf. Deeper thoughts– that’s the second Lupin they’ve seen. Location- on ship, dark fur, big ears, large patches of missing fur. Ghaisek pulls us off to the side and minor Illusions: Hey Rolf, have you seen him before? DUN DUN DUUUUUN!

We fight the assassin vines. As we kill them, something sucks up water from below. Kuda summons a wall of force below us to keep it down for longer. When it does swim up and is stopped by Tim’s mask, it psychically overtakes Rolf, who turns on his friends. Preston summons a dragon again. Buoy is killed by an assassin vine and Kuda gets revenge. Rolf is commanded to attack Preston, and Gaemon is forced to intervene. The aboleth then swims out from under the wall to attack the now-exposed Gaemon. Ghaisek chooses to be attacked by vines instead of Rolf. Timothy also gets controlled by the aboleth, and is commanded to attack Kuda. A spectral being lunges at Ghaisek out of the assassin vine. Preston’s dragon hits the aboleth, Gaemon, and Rolf, which knocks Rolf back to normal. Rolf pierces aboleth with an upcast Psychic Lance, and Gaemon mops it up. We then take the time to chop up the assassin vines. We reconnect our mental link and hug each other, then swim down to the aboleth corpse. We dig and find a melon-sized orb filled with stars– Identify finds it a Wildspace Orrery– tracks stellar bodies! Gaemon harvests some body parts from the aboleth corpse. Then we go back, and all the elves are freed and ready for dancing! And an orgy! We warn them about the future coming warriors also trying to get the eye.

Ghaisek tries to talk to his deity and goes temporarily insane. Kuda learns about the Lord of Bones in his astrolabe while crafting some armor. Rolf and his Sextant Sword work together to navigate the ship to Xxiphu, and there the next day. Kuda investigates the astrolabe again and it’s Kezef, a running dog (Chaos Hound). Rolf gives the Scimitar of Speed to Gaemon as Kuda casts water breathing on everyone, and then we swim down. Ghaisek sends imp ahead and Timothy swims first; they see Sea Elves standing still around a fountain. Rolf motivates the crew with song. Through Cali’s eyes, they seem not all there. Timothy tries to tie up one of them; the others start moving at the exact same time. We fight! Kuda is a octopus and puts out ink as we all swim around and fight them as they come. Some kelp creatures seem to form and attack us– Rolf uses Universal Speech to parley– the kelp creatures say they are protecting the elves as they are controlled by the Guy in the Eye. The kelpies tell us the eye is north– we convince the kelpies to restrain the remaining elves and we’ll go free the elves; said they’d be friends if we save the elves. We agree! And we ride the floating disk hanging on behind Gaemon’s Hippocamp mount and quickly traverse the sea north! When we arrive at the hole, Kuda tries to explore the glowing plants that are all around; Rolf helps with Nature knowledge. Ghaisek investigates the hole. We’re unsure what the plant is, but the vine lashes out. Grapples Rolf– fight at the Eye of Xxiphu!

After we laid waste to the people in the Iron thrown keep, we questioned the remaining survivor.
He told us he worked for the Iron Throne and that the Kraken Society was a client. And he told us they were here to pick up a shipment of goods. He led us to the goods the Kraken which were the weapons. We got the device to get back through the mists and got the name of the guy in charge of the Iron Throne on this keep.

He led us to the audience room where Gaemon looked for some verification that his visions were true, finding only an emblem on a throne that was not iron. We checked the room thoroughly. Rolf noticed the very intricate mosaic pattern on the floor, with the tiles alternating between crossed gauntlets, a pair of iron boots or a stylized eye, each representing the Arm, Foot, and Eye of the Iron Throne.

Seymour said the Foot of the Iron Throne was in the desert, Kuda realized was along the Black Road in the Anuloch dessert between Mulmaster and Waterdeep. Seymour told us that the Eye of the Iron Throne is in a cloud castle.

Ghaisek, however, noticed that over by the throne, there were scratches on the floor. Pulling on the throne, opened the wall revealing a passage. The imp went down the hall seeing creatures down that way, a panic room with a couple of guys in it. Seymour called out to the guys in there and they emerged.

The captain, Othelstan, and his pathetic guard Wilfrid would not come out unless we offered assurances. Ghaisik asking him where the Kraken’s Bane was, which he feigned ignorance about its location. But he did reveal that they were acquiring special metals and materials. Ghaisek probing his mind trying to get information and saw something which left him kind of frightened to see him so shaken by whatever was going on.

We followed him the rooms we they had bolts of purple leather, the skin of purple worm, large purple worm teeth. In the forge we so a lot of ore and shards of obsidian which was obtained from Starmantle and that it was a result of the spell plague. Combining it with certain ores, can be used to make special weapons. Apparently when wielded when using poison, the poison adheres to the metal. Captain also explained that they harvested some purple work venom.

They apparently contact each other using from a sending stone, which he would not give us. The asshole. Though their orders from the Kraken society were slowing down. They did not know where they were building this, but that they only are a few days away and always coming from the east. We decided to skuttle the Kraken Society ship and lure another ship from the Kraken Society. The captain said it was probably a bad idea since they have priest which already communicated that they arrived.

We cleaned up the keep for them and he gave us some stuff to take. Before we left, he told us their latest ask was for an orb that would create a bubble that would allow people to fly, they referred to it in as the Eye of Xxiphu in a sunken city somewhere in the sea of the falling stars. Kuda offered him a him a book of orcish poetry, which he turned down.
We then made our way out of the keep, noticing in the chapel a small little alter with an image of the Kraken, everything else in the temple was done up very Tiamat-ish…though those things had been used to cover Umberly iconography.

We get to the Kraken Society’s ship, where at the front is a crystal on the pedestal which contains a swirling storm, which we take. Meanwhile, Kuda and Preston found a navigation map from which we were able assume where they were going to and from which we assumed would be where the Kraken Society was. Kuda also found a book about the Cult of the Kraken. It talked about Slarkrethel, a Kraken deity that is at war with King Hekaton, the god of all giants. They are supposedly always in a battle for supremacy over the maelstrom, a castle where King Hekaton lives at the bottom of the ocean.

We shuffled our magic items before diving into the calm water, small creatures swimming around us. Kuda looked through Buoy’s eyes and saw shipwrecks below, with some iconography of the Umberlee temple. Gaemon saw this through the mental link and put together that the Iron Throne was fighting Umberlee, and Umberlee lost.

We completed our swim to the island and saw jungle, along with a path to a building up above. We decided to sneak through the jungle up to the building instead of taking the path. Kuda and I guided the party through the forest, following animal trails and the smoke in the distance.

We sneaked very well up to the building while I inspired the party. An empty animal pen awaited us. Tim sneaked into the pen and investigated– animal shit, but no animals. Among the muck he found a signet ring made of iron, with a throne embellishment. He gave it to Gaemon, as a sign of goodwill. He then unlocked a door leading into the building and stealthily opened it, seeing two guards. We considered killing them, but Ghaisek Suggested them to go to the beach instead. It worked, and they went off to fool around by the water! Timothy and I gave each other scritches while we hid. Then we all went into the bunk house.

Timothy stole someone’s journal. There were many doors out of the bunk room, so I chose south as our first attempt. Timothy unlocked the south door– it went back outside, so he re-locked it. We found a trapdoor to the basement: a weapons hold– siege equipment. We took grappling hooks, empty wineskins, and some weapons, all made of iron and embellished with tentacles. Tim found a Kraken society receipt and fucked with it to mess with the guards. Gaemon considered a cannon for the horse.

We made our way through a storage room, a kitchen, and a long hallway with many doors… one of which led to ANOTHER hallway!? AUGH. Tim peered around an archway and saw someone kneeling to an Altar– one of the spooky wizard priests! Timothy ding-dong-ditched him with psychic blades. The priest then shouted out – Tim and Preston were frightened. Gaemon summoned octopodes and I ran in to whirling dervish… we killed him! But then we were SWARMED by guards! OUCH.

Rolf howled and halted sailors, swooned in songs upon the stairs

The Captain and his boys remained, though cornered in their lair
I summoned deadly tentacles and had them all ensnared

Kuda called the stars above and burned the blokes and octopi
While our teammates laid on their attacks until the captain died

The king wanted him alive you see, an example for the lands
So Kuda bound with magic Ice and shackled up his hands

We won of course, and tied the rest we had not slew
Now to drag them to the Pirate King to see what he will do

I’m not sure I can do this. Every time I think something good is happening, I get dragged into the shit again.

The ghost ship had broken in two. The wheel they wanted me to get was with two large sahuagin. I was able to get a fireball off under the water, but they beefy sahaguan started summoning sharks and just too many little sahaguin jumped into the water after the rest of the VS crew. They didn’t see me because I was hiding under part of the ship.

The smaller sahugain swarmed around the crew taking some chunks out of Gaemon and Ghaisek. Kuda had little choice than to break out of his octopus form and polymorph Gaemon into a giant shark, basically to take all the damage the sahaguin were throwing.

I was using my new ring to summon lightening balls which began to do damage to the bigger sahaugin when one of them took off with the wheel. Kuda returned to octoopus form and joined me in the chase, but he got there first.

The other larger sahaguin summoned something else, a priest of some kind who cast a spell which trapped Rolf! He said it, he said this was in the name of the Kraken! This is the Kraken society!

What should I have done! Go get the wheel, but Rolf was trapped and Kuda was getting hit!

Sharky Gameon did his best to feed off the little Sahaguin, but well-placed attack on Octo-kuda broke his concentration and turned Gaemon him back into Gaemon surrounded by enemies. The water was full of ally blood.

Ghaisek went down as a shark bit into his flesh and then swam off to feast on Gaemon as Ghaisek unconsciously sunk. The baron with the wheel went after Kuda. With his shark friend, he took Kuda down.

It was looking like we couldn’t win this fight so we prepared a strategic retreat when the spellcaster disappeared through a portal with one of his baron, the one who got away because Kuda was dying. Would have taken both of his barons, but I had one restrained.

Rolf was able to heal Kuda before I got to him, but that shark just kept biting and Kuda went down again.

With enemies around me and Kuda sinking, Gaemon popped beside me to get me free to give Kuda a potion. He touched my cheek and said he’d get them for me. I wasn’t even sure we were friends before this.

Ghaisek just barely awake from healing Rolf gave them summons a devil to help take out the remaining enemies.

On the ship was some gold and jewels and two wax sealed parchments.

We get back to see the sahaguin who tried to take our ship were no match for our crew. Barkus and Iron Fist greeted us. Nadav was healing the crew.

The parchments were two maps, which revealed shipping lanes and then with a key. Indicating other locations which are not associated trading routes, this could be where the Kraken society is hidden. They were in thieves cant so no one else could see them. I told them.

Barkus, saying yes we made mistakes, didn’t seem to appreciate that we came away with good information. Arrogant fucker, my friends nearly died for these fucking maps! Kuda went down twice.

This isn’t what I signed up for, to watch my friends die. To watch Rolf get hurt! To see Kuda fighting and getting knocked down!

I just wanted a quiet time with some fun people and the occasional adventure. This is not what I signed up for.

At long last this crew of endearing miscreants and I have returned to Raven’s Bluff to claim our vessel, the Vicious Seaward, and set out for proper seafaring adventure. While waiting on a meeting with the pirate Zhent Barkus to get the next job we made a trip to Verbig’s shop to upgrade some gear.

Apparently Verbig has a new shop assistant, a cute little elf boy, named Cybil. I think perhaps he is a touch innocent and sweet for my palate, but I watched with delight as the good captain Rolf turned on the charm and flustered the dear boy to the point of stuttering. Once he regained his composure he helped us reequip with some scrolls and a better shield for Kuda, a protective ring for the captain, and a delicious cloak made from the pelt of displacer beasts for the Lutrinian. Of course it would be a terrible tragedy if any lasting harm were to befall timothy, but should the unthinkable happen I’m sure such a cloak would suit your service well. As it happens, Barkus himself was present at Verbig’s and told us to meet him at the Dragon’s Claw for lunch after we finished our errands.

After finishing up at Verbig’s we made our way to our newly finished ship and set about the delightful business of claiming quarters. Fortunately the ship is well fit to accommodate the needs of her officers and we are spared the indignity of sharing quarters with the common seamen…unless of course we wish to indulge in that very indignity; after all, some of the men do seem …delicious. We also established some roles for at least a portion of the officers. Rolf as the captain, obviously. Kuda is well suited to the task of celestial navigation and I trust he will prove most adept at charting our course. Timothy will likely spend a good deal of time on lookout duty either from the crow’s nest or the water itself. I myself will stand as Bo’sun and ensure the crew maintains vigilant diligence

Eventually we made way to the tavern to meet with Barkus and his friends- the minotaur Bronzefist we had met previously and an Air Genasi named Nadiv with a serious attitude problem. All that to say, we have learned there is some fuckery afoot. A number of commercial ships bound for Tantras & [insert city name] departing from Nyth and Telflamm have gone missing underway somewhere between the port towns of Dilpur and Lyrabar. Rumors have it that a “ghost ship” is responsible for the disappearances.

According to Nadiv the ships that have gone missing were all carrying agents of the Harper’s returning from Thay with information about the goings on in Szass Tam’s playground. I suspect that these haughty meddling fucks have brought this on themselves with their interference. All the same an opportunity to peek into Thay could be profitable and Barkus has been kind in his patronage. Despite my personal feelings towards the Harpers this job is likely to pay handsomely.

Although your previous message indicated no evidence of a ghost ship within your sight, there appears to be some vessel that could be described as such on the horizon. I suppose it’s time to put the Vicious Seaward to the test.

Hey Petal,

I tried writing to Mom some time ago but never heard back. I guess they are still mad at me. Are you? I know things got scary, but I never meant for anything bad to happen.

I’m no longer running with that crowd, so things are much better. I have new friends who seem to like me and want me around, I’ve found a way to put my skills to use and I have someone who is helping me learn to channel my stuff!

I was thinking about you because I made friends with an actual dragon, a nice one! In fact, I saved its life with the help of the crew I’m running with.

We had gone to this huge library in the mountains…it was huge. Well, one of the people in this crew though they would be clever and sneak a dagger past this portal thingy and we kinda got in trouble, but not bad trouble. Anyway, to make up for it, the librarians asked us to go check on this Mist Dragon! Make sure it was OK. How cool is that!

The crew and I had to climb up this steep cliff along this narrow path. It was very scary. Our captian Rolf was so brave we all just followed his example. I drew a picture of him on the back so you can see how handsome he is. He’s also sweet and fun to be around. You’d like him!

Once we got to the cave, Ghaisek sent his imp inside to get the lay of the land. The imp’s name is Caliban. Ghaisek is very mean to it, so I don’t think it gives it’s best to him. They are another guy on the crew, Captain Rolf seems to trust him but I could tell him some things!!

Anyway, the imp say that there were some drow in the cave and that made us suspicious. Also all these strange purple mushrooms. Now, I know Uncle Yip would tell you to always be suspicious of drow, but that is not true. These drow were just suspicious because they were in a Mist Dragon’s cave and seemed to be part of a gang.

So Ghaisek and I started sneaking through the cave to see if we could get a drop on them and it was while sneaking, I met the dragon!! It seemed to be sleeping, but I knew something funny was going on.

Once we were all in place, Captain Rolf signaled us to let the fight commence! It was epic because you know what the drow had with them….a giant spider!! It was very scary. Preston was knocked unconscious. I nearly went down. Ghaisek was surrounded by drow. Kuda was rushing to try and help Captain Rolf. Luckily, I had a magic gem in my pocket and was able to call up some help.

Now, even though I don’t like how Ghaisek treats his imp and I think he is not always honest with Rolf, I still sent my elemental friend to help him. It’s important to remember Petal to do the right thing by your crew no matter what!!! My elemental fried was able to rescue Ghaisek and then go and help out Captain Rolf!

With the drow gone, I thought the dragon would be able to talk to me, but instead I heard something mean. “Get out and I’ll let you live” Now I didn’t think a mist dragon that works for the library would be that mean, but we needed to recoup from our battle.

Now we had to figure out how to approach this. By this time, Captain Rolf had accidently stepped on one of these mushrooms and the spores from it made him instantly drunk. We knew we had to get rid of those to help fight whatever else was in there with the Mist Dragon. Of course, Ghaisek decided to set off a fireball and burn the mushrooms away, angering the other creature.

Guess what it was, Petal. It was ANOTHER DRAGON! But this was a mean mushroom dragon. Preston and Kuda acted quickly to try and contain the dragon behind a fire wall and fire off another fireball on it. Once the firewall went up, we all heard the dragon fighting something, but the damn wall kept us from seeing. I was still able to get a few shots off.

This other dragon, however, could dig and popped up besides Captain Rolf. Everyone kept trying to take it down, but it took me to do it Petal. It was a bad dragon who was hurting the Mist Dragon. You would have been so proud or your big brother.

Anyway, after we cleared all the mushrooms off the mist dragon he was so grateful, he gave us some gold and Rolf a special shield and me special mask!

Listen, I don’t think Mom and Dad would be like us talking, so don’t tell them we are. I put some gold in the package for you, don’t tell Dad! If you wanna get a hold of me, you can write to me in Raven’s Bluff. I think it should be safe now.

Session 2: 12th of the Nightal fair sea 3rd day

Our story returns on the Silent Dagger, on a trip for the Lady Raven
After cracking some crooked kraken skulls, a warning recited the last man standing craven

His mouth did foam after talk of tentacles, so we laid the remains out to sea
Not before taking their ship for our own, we are still pirates you see

A rest and orgy, with the motion of ocean, made for a fine view for thee
Though the crew did abstain, as jobs must be a pain, all’s well more for me

We continue our journey to Hillsfar, finding a peak of the bells of the deep
Thought just as in view, we lost control of our crew, who started steering us for the keep

A swarm of vultures rolled from the fog, but was not the true villain who controlled the poor sods
A harpy at heart was taking the men, not before we did, get our good shots in
Preston took haste, knocking too much sense into our mate
Gaemons javelin flew true, though still losing the crew
Lost control of the sails, and a discounted crew, the captain took charge, to see our ship through
Our prize ship lost, in a scuff with the shore, but a small price to pay for still living aboard
Our team did eliminate all birds from the field, bringing the Harpy to front with murderous zeal
Timothy swung in from Kudas mighty meat, and with a swing of his “short”-sword did the Harpy taste defeat

Arriving at the ports of Hillsfar, we needed disguises or would not get far
The great law of humanity, who some think insanity, made racists of townsfolk and guard
Gaemon and Gaesick took lead, as the only ones passing you see
For humans not straights, we head for the gates, leading our nexus of mates
After being extorted we had not resorted, to our ways of violence and had all things sorted
This town full of racist, so we got out in quick paces, and onward we make with the heavens good graces

Wondering how to get started? Here are a few tips:

1. Invite your players

Invite them with either their email address or their Obsidian Portal username.

2. Edit your home page

Make a few changes to the home page and give people an idea of what your campaign is about. That will let people know you’re serious and not just playing with the system.

3. Set the Campaign’s game system

Let people know what game system your campaign is using, and give your players access to any system-appropriate character sheet templates that have been made. You can use them for NPCs too!

4. Choose a theme

If you want to set a specific mood for your campaign, we have several backgrounds to choose from. Accentuate it by creating a top banner image.

5. Create some NPCs

Characters form the core of every campaign, so take a few minutes to list out the major NPCs in your campaign.

A quick tip: The “+” icon in the top right of every section is how to add a new item, whether it’s a new character or adventure log post, or anything else.

6. Write your first Adventure Log post

The adventure log is where you list the sessions and adventures your party has been on, but for now, we suggest doing a very light “story so far” post. Just give a brief overview of what the party has done up to this point. After each future session, create a new post detailing that night’s adventures.

One final tip: Don’t stress about making your Obsidian Portal campaign look perfect. Instead, just make it work for you and your group. If everyone is having fun, then you’re using Obsidian Portal exactly as it was designed, even if your adventure log isn’t always up to date or your characters don’t all have portrait pictures.
